Main Article Content
Abstract
In the contemporary globalized world, communication across linguistic and cultural boundaries has become essential. Among the many languages spoken worldwide, English has emerged as a dominant medium of global interaction. This research paper examines the role of the English language in global communication, focusing on its historical evolution, present significance, and future implications. It explores how English functions as a lingua franca in fields such as education, business, technology, and international relations. The study also addresses the advantages and challenges associated with the widespread use of English, including issues of linguistic inequality and cultural influence. The paper concludes that while English serves as a powerful tool for global connectivity, a balanced approach is needed to preserve linguistic diversity.
