Guidelines for Authors
Getting Started
- Submission: Authors must submit manuscripts through the online submission platform. Hard copies are not accepted.
- Registration: First-time users must register; registration is free.
Types of Manuscripts
Aksharasurya Journal publishes:
- Research Articles
- Book Review
- Essay
- Case Studies / Reports
Author Responsibilities
- Originality: The journal accepts only original work that has not been published elsewhere.
- Authorship: Credit should be based on substantial contributions to conception, design, data acquisition, or analysis; and drafting or critically revising the article.
- Changes: After acceptance, it is not possible to add, remove, or modify the author list.
- Conflict of Interest: All authors must disclose any conflicts of interest regarding the publication or funding sources.
Manuscript Preparation
- Format: Manuscripts should be double-spaced, with a 2.5 cm margin, using 12-point Times New Roman or Unicode fonts.
- Structure: The main manuscript should be organised as follows: Title Page, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials/Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgements, and References.
- Anonymity: Ensure the main text is blinded for peer review if required by the submission system.
Section Guidelines
- Abstract: Provide a structured or unstructured abstract (depending on article type) stating objectives, methods, and main conclusions.
- Introduction: State the objectives and provide adequate background without an extensive literature survey.
- Methods: Provide sufficient detail to allow the work to be reproduced.
- Results: Present clear and concise results using text, tables, or figures. Avoid repetition.
- Discussion: Interpret the significance of the work, discussing the importance of the study and its limitations.
Figures and Tables
- Placement: Figures and tables should be included in the manuscript file or uploaded separately as requested.
- Legends: All figures and tables must have titles and legends.
- Citations: All figures and tables must be cited in the text.
Copyright & Open Access
- Rights: The author retains academic copyright and can self-archive the article.
- License: Manuscripts are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 License (CC-BY-NC-SA 4.0).
- Usage: This allows others to remix and build upon the work non-commercially, provided appropriate credit is given.
