Dr. Irfan Rasool has pursued his LL.M. and Doctor of Philosophy in International Human Rights Law & Constitutional Law, respectively from National Law School of India University, Bangalore. Dr. Irfan has been teaching undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students a variety of subjects including Comparative Constitutional Law, Constitutional Law, National Security Laws, and International Refugee Laws. He was previously engaged as Assistant Professor at the School of Legal Studies, Central University of Kashmir, and ICFAI Law School, Hyderabad and has more than 10 years of teaching experience. While the courses and students have differed, Dr. Irfan has developed a teaching pedagogy based on Cartological – the science of law – a method to develop a new approach towards teaching and learning.
Dr. Irfan has published more than 20 research papers in various national and international journals and presented papers at various conferences. His primary field of research interest is the study of power structure and its implications and has intrigued in the cratological analysis of laws. He has also published various articles in EBSCO and SCOPUS listed journals and some of them include Judicial Process in India: A Critical Analysis in the context of Part III and Part IV of the Constitution, ILI Law Review (Summer 2020) P 179- 197, Jammu and Kashmir: A Confederate within a Federal System, Economic and Political Weekly Vol. XLIX No. 4 (Jan. 25, 2014) P 68-73, (ISSN: 0012-9976), which got enlisted in Federal Relations, Parliamentary Documentation, Lok Sabha Vol XL(3) (1-15 February 2014) at 112. He also completed one research minor project on “Consumer Protection: A Study with Reference to Awareness of Right to Consumer Education in Hyderabad” funded by ICFAI University as a principal investigator. He has also drafted various moot proportions for national moot courts competitions.
