Abstract

Investigating the prevalence and impact of gender inequality within the corporate sector of Bangalore, this study analyzes responses from 45 employees across two companies. It assesses various parameters such as recruitment, remuneration, performance appraisal, and opportunities for advancement to determine if disparities exist between male and female employees. The findings reveal that while a majority of respondents perceive the workplace culture as inclusive and valuing equality, a significant portion acknowledges subtle biases, particularly regarding women occupying lower positions and missing advancement opportunities due to gender. The research suggests that despite progress in corporate policies, organizations must actively work to eliminate underlying psychological and structural barriers to ensure total gender parity in all functional areas.
